We wrap up the mid-season finale. As Jon says, “A lot of stuff happened.” Very exciting! Jean tries to explain the history of Janeway and Chakotay, but Jon is just going to have to wait until the second half of Prodigy’s first season to see for himself.

Due to travel last week, we missed a watch-and-record date. So we are watching the two-part mid-season finale of Prodigy in one night. We watched Part 1, and discussed it quickly so that we could get on with watching the Part 2! Still, as Jon says, a lot happened.

This week’s episode is a mind bender. Traveling through a tachyon storm, the Protostar gets zapped with a wave that puts the crew out of phase with each other. Jon explains how the crew works together to save the ship.

In another first for the Protostar crew, they visit a new planet and make first contact, which doesn’t go according to Starfleet regulations. We talk about the backstory of the Protostar and make predictions about what’s next.

We’re back after the mid-season break with a very exciting and revealing episode. Dal discovers the holodeck and attempts to prove he can best the infamous Kobayashi Maru test. Gwyn discovers something unexpected in the ship’s memory. We discover that Murf can fart.
